PEARL Modular Training Resources

Practical ESG learning for small and medium-sized enterprises

A modular and flexible collection of training materials supporting SMEs, trainers and business support organisations in understanding, assessing and implementing environmental, social and governance practices.

What these resources are

The PEARL Modular Training Resources are a practical set of six learning modules designed to help SMEs understand and respond to environmental, social and governance challenges.

The resources combine essential ESG knowledge with practical activities, business examples and tools. They cover the complete ESG journey, from developing initial awareness and identifying risks to creating an ESG strategy, reporting progress and finding suitable funding.

Each module can be completed independently or combined with the other modules to create a complete ESG learning programme. The resources can be adapted for face-to-face, online, blended and self-directed learning.

This reflects the PEARL curriculum’s emphasis on flexible learning pathways and resources that can be used separately or as part of a wider programme.

Who the resources are for:

1

SME owners, managers and employees

Businesses that want to understand ESG requirements, identify risks and opportunities, and introduce practical ESG actions.

2

VET providers and trainers

Educators looking for structured, competence-based ESG materials that can be used in classroom, online or blended training.

3

Adult education and entrepreneurship providers

Organisations supporting entrepreneurs, start-ups and small businesses with sustainability, business development and compliance.
